We all have our reasons for taking part
in the walk, please

The Big Midnight Walk has proved to be a very special night for everyone involved. It’s a fantastic giggle for everyone taking part, a great way to spend a night with friends and a special way to remember people close to our hearts and it raises vital funds for two vital charities.
With the twinkling illuminations, the sparkling stars, hundreds of smiles along the way, and of course, the stunning coastal route, the Big Midnight Walk has developed very special and memorable atmosphere.
The 13 mile route starts and finishes at Torbay Leisure Centre, Paignton. All ladies walkers will be registered, warmed up, and set off on their trek in half hourly slots from 8.30pm. All walkers will be walking at midnight.
There are rest stations and loos along the route, which is fully marshalled and patrolled. You will be provided with snacks and refreshments to keep you going.
The route takes you along the seafront to Torquay, past the Imperial Hotel, towards Meadfoot Beach and up Babbacombe Rd. After a snack, a hot drink and a loo break at the Palace Hotel (option to jump on the minibus if you have had enough) it’s downhill back to Torquay, along the seafront and onto Paignton. The walk finishes back at the Torbay Leisure Centre, where you will be rewarded with a steaming cup of tea, a bacon butty and an official Big Midnight Walk medal!
Put a sparkle in your step!
This year to add that little extra zing we want to see all our ladies sparkle! Customise tee-shirts, don tiaras, wear wings and glam up with glitter!See pictures of Big Midnight Walk 2009
