My best friend for about 25 years passed away on April 24th last year, just 10 days after her 52nd birthday, after a long long fight with female cancer, leaving 4 daughters, a loving partner, an elderly mother, a brother and so many friends. Every day I miss her, every day something reminds me of her, and every day I am thankful for having had her in my life, and for her daughters still wanting to be with me and sharing their lives with me. One is getting married in July and wants me there in place of her Mum, I feel that through them I can give back some of all the things she taught me about being a loving person, about being a mother, and about being an amazing friend. I will do this walk for Joan, and I know she will be with me all of the way.
